Soli Cakes is a story of passion, patience, and a love for truly good cake.
I’m Soli, a Thai baker who has always believed that a great cake should be soft, light, and gently sweet. In Thailand, this style of cake is deeply loved — cakes that feel delicate, moist, and comforting, never heavy or overly sugary. When I moved to the UK, I struggled to find cakes like this, especially in the local area where I live. That moment planted a seed.
I began baking for friends, then for friends of friends — simply wanting to share cakes that felt familiar, thoughtful, and made with care. Over time, that small idea became a craft. I spent more than 10 years refining recipes, working with real ingredients, real cream, and a homemade dessert-style approach that focuses on quality above all else.
After years of practice, I opened my first shop in the UK. Unfortunately, life took an unexpected turn. My father became seriously ill, and I had to return to Thailand to care for him. After only four months, I made the heartfelt decision to step away and sell the business.
But my journey with cake didn’t end there.
When I returned to the UK, I came back with a clearer vision and a renewed purpose — and Soli Cakes was born.
Today, Soli Cakes is proudly rooted in the local community. Most of our customers are neighbours, friends, and familiar faces. I don’t believe in one-flavour-fits-all baking. Instead, I take time to understand each customer.
Some prefer very low sugar, others love extra softness, and some want something completely unique — so I adapt each recipe specifically for them.
That’s why our regular customers know that no two Soli Cakes ever taste exactly the same. Each cake is made to suit the person it’s created for, ensuring a personal experience and genuine satisfaction every time.
